Something New...Again

Are you interested in reviving the midweek Lenten dinners?  It would be a simple supper of soup, salad, and bread.  Please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex, so we can gauge interest.  The Lenten Suppers would be 5 PM on Tuesdays (March 11, 18, 25, April 1, 8).  There will also be a Maundy Thursday event (March 17, Time TBD)

Lenten Bible Study

If you are interested in a Lenten Bible Study, please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex.  We can meet on Sundays, or midweek by Zoom.  Alternatively, we can combine the Studies with the Midweek Lenten Suppers, if there is enough interest.  We will look at Jewish symbolism in Lenten scriptures.

Women's Group - Saturday March 8th, 10am at UPB

Please join us in the narthex as we chat, enjoy a few bites of goodies and coffee, and join in a short bible study.  All materials are provided.  Just bring yourself and a friend.  It's a great way to introduce those who are not involved in the church to meet us, and to invite those who come to other events and to come a bit closer.

Ladies Lunch - March 8th at 11:30am 

The Ladies Lunch will take place at 11:30am on Wednesday, March 8th at First Watch.  Please Let Sharon Doughty know if you and a friend are coming.  The following lunch will be Wednesday October 2nd.

Service & Mission Committee - Bowie Food Pantry

Most households consist of 1-3 individuals.  Regular-Sized Items Preferred.  Please check expiration dates.  The Pantry’s greatest needs:

• Soup
• Spaghetti Sauce (24-oz. size)   
• Canned Meats (Chicken Breast, Beef Stew, Spam, Corned Beef Hash, Chili)
• Personal care items including lotion and shampoo
• Additionally, we stock the Rice shelf as part of the Pantry's adopt-a-shelf program

Bowie Youth and Family Services

Bowie Youth and Family Services will hold an open house for the community to learn more about its services and programs on February 27th from 6:30-8:00 PM  at the Kenhill Center (2614 Kenhill Drive).  The program will feature information about Youth Services programs, a tour of their facilities, Kids Games, light refreshments, and door prizes.  Learn more about family counseling, mentoring, tutoring, parenting groups, and other valuable resources.  Pre-registration is suggested, but not required.  For more information, call or email Wendy Wilcox (301-809-3033)
